La Arboleda school of Cali has focused on inclusive, bilingual and multicultural education. These educational qualities of the School, constantly evaluated, enriched and updated, are translated into tangible actions that make the Institution an ideal space for the learning and integral development of our students. Our academic program begins at age 4 and ends at age 18. It is divided into four sections: Preschool, Primary, Middle School and High School. In this space we tell you how to start the admission process so that your son or daughter can enter to La Arboleda school.

Steps for your admission

1. Activation

To start the admission process and receive the activation link in your email, we thank you for sending us the following information:

2. Filling out the application form

Click on the link sent to your email and create your password. (By default, your username will be your email). Upon entering the platform you will find the admissions form that you must fill out. Follow the step by step and fill out all the information blanks.

3. Documents

To complete your admission application, prepare and scan the following documents that must be uploaded to your online admission process:

Parents and / or guardians

  • Photocopy of identity document of each parent and / or guardian.
  •  A personal and / or business recommendation letter from each parent and / or guardian.
  • Signed document of authorization of personal and financial data for prospects. (The school provides this document).
  • Passport size photograph of the applicant and parents and / or guardians.

For Worker:

  • Job letter not older than 30 days.
  • Current certificate of income and withholding.
  • Income statement for the last taxable year (if applicable).

For independent:

  • Income certificate signed by a public accountant, attaching a photocopy of the accountant's professional card, not older than 30 days.
  • Income statement for the last taxable year (if applicable).

Candidate:

  • Identity Document: Civil Registry and photocopy of the identity card.
  • Original certificates of studies from earlier years and current year of the student (applies from Transition degree).
  • School report from previous kindergarten (applies to Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten)
  • Information form for other institutions, filled out by the school of origin (applies from 1st grade) (The School provides this document).
  • Peace and Financial Safeguards of the previous Institution.

When the student is a foreigner:

  • Passport with valid Visa and immigration ID (if over 7 years old).
  • Parents' immigration card (This is required in case of not having the Colombian Civil Registry).
  • Certificates of study apostilled in the country of origin. If it is for elementary school, the previous grade to which they are applying must be presented and if it is for high school, the apostilled certificates must be presented as of 5th grade.
  • When they arrive to Colombia they must have the certificates translated into Spanish by an official translator. On the page of the Ministry of Education-Chancellery they show a list of official translators. With the Certificates apostilled and translated into Spanish, parents must complete the process of validation of studies completed abroad, presenting at the Ministry of Education of Bogotá- Validations Section or via the Internet through the page www.mineducacion.gov.co, Preschool, basic and secondary, enter to the Validations where they must do the process and later the Ministry issues a Resolution of Validation of studies where they accredit the student to the grade they wish to enter. They must present a copy of this resolution to the school so that the admission process can start.
4. Schedule

The admissions office will review the information on your application and will contact you to schedule the interview appointments with the families and the academic observation and evaluation activities of the applicants. Once each of these steps has been carried out, the family will be given an answer about their admission process.

1. From what age are children welcomed?

At Colegio La Arboleda our academic program begins at the age of 4 in August (the month in which the school year begins). We have four sections: Preschool, Primary, Middle School and High School. We have all school cycles, from preschool to high school.

2. What academic calendar does La Arboleda school have?

We are calendar B, our school year begins in August and ends the year during the second week of June. The holidays of recess week, Christmas and Easter are taken normally.

3. Is it bilingual?

Colegio la Arboleda adopted the International Curriculum proposal with the world-renowned University of Cambridge, through the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CI) academic program. We have accredited exams and real language immersion experiences to ensure that students have full command of English. Likewise, the learning of French is present from grade 3 to 10, encouraging the mastery of this language.

9. How many students are there per class?

We have classrooms with capacities from 10 to 15 students in pre-kindergarten (4 years of age) and 25 in the rest of the groups (5 years of age to 18 years).
